With so many Brow Service options, how do you know which is the right service for you? Like so many of us, we find ourselves scrolling away on social media and hitting the “like” button on so many beautiful brow photos. We envision the “idea” brow or reminisce on the good old days before we tweezed them into a thin “fish tail” looking brow.

We follow the newest trends in hopes that it would be “life changing”, which is some cases they can be. But the question is, which one is the right one for. you than can be tailored specifically for your brows. Everyone’s facial features, hair density, color and texture are so unique, that’s important to customize a brow that is right for you. Here are some options with the best suggestions that may assist you when booking an appointment (Please note that all of our brow services, come with a free consultation):

  • Brow Waxing/Sugaring: This is the best way to remove hair all at once and there is less discomfort than threading. You also have the option of sugaring which is more for sensitive skin. I always tell my clients, think of waxing/sugaring like a lawn mower that cleans around the garden, but never goes into the garden.

  • Brow Tweezing: This is the best way to shape the brows after waxing/sugaring. The analogy above continued would be, after you mow your lawn, you have to go into the garden and pull the weeds out. Tweezing can also be used for those who choose to forego waxing/sugaring.

  • Brow Tinting: This services is great for those who have naturally light brows and want a soft to bolder look. This also helps shapes the face. The tint only lasts on the skin until you wash your face, however, its lasts up to 4-6 weeks on the hair. One thing I will point out, the more you wash your brows, the more that color will fade as with any hair color.

  • Brow Henna: This service is great for those who want a “makeup” look on their brows and is a great option for those who are not looking to commit to permanent makeup just yet. Henna is an organic dye used for both the skin and actual hair creating the illusion of thicker, fuller brows. The stain on the skin from henna can last 1-2 weeks and the dye on eyebrows lasts 6-8 weeks.

  • Brow Lamination: This happens to be one of my favorite services! 😍This services isn’t for everyone, but definitely highly recommended. Brow Lamination is a chemical treatment that allows your brows to be molded into a desired shape using the hairs that your currently have. If you have thin brows, but longer hairs, you can create a “thicker looking” brow by molding the brows “upward” and brushing them in a direction that gives a full appearance. The results lasts 4-6 weeks, however, aftercare is so important to achieve the best retention!

In order to maintain these brows, try to avoid sleeping on your side or your stomach. If you do, or just in general, be sure to brush your brows daily, in the desired direction as the brows are malleable. I recommend coming in at 4 weeks for your first follow up and then 5-6 weeks thereafter as your brows need to acclimate to a new direction.

Lashes can make or break your look, and you want yours to be the best they can be. You’ve likely heard that using products like mascara or eyelash extensions will make your lashes fall out or lose their natural curve over time, but what can you do to make sure that doesn’t happen? The fact of the matter is that you can make your lashes last longer if you follow these tips!

  • We can't stress enough how important it is for lash extensions clients to take extra care with cleanliness. The longevity of your lashes depends on daily care. Wash them with a gentle and oil free cleanser that is made for lash extensions, such as Lash Affair TLC cleanser.

  • Gently dry them using a lash fan (amazon) and brush from underneath all the way to the tips of the lash extensions. Avoid brushing them from on top and rolling the wand to the tips as doing this will cause the wand to snag on the extensions.

  • Brushing the lashes in an upward motion helps avoid breakage.

  • The best way to have beautiful lashes is by avoiding eye creams, which can wear down the lash extensions. It’s better for your lashes if you avoid oil altogether in that area.

  • Avoid wearing eyeliner and mascara on your Lash Extensions

  • Lash extensions are delicate, so we want to be careful when removing makeup after a long day. We don’t just want to grab a washcloth or wipe our face clean withis can tug on your lashes, causing them to come out quicker than they would if you were using proper lash care products. This helps remove excess makeup and oil without damaging your lashes.

  • When you’re falling asleep or waking up, it’s a good idea to prop your head on a pillow (or two) so that your face doesn’t press against your pillowcase. Sleeping on your side with lash extensions is never recommended—your face might rub against the pillow, causing breakage. If you find yourself waking up on your side with lash extensions, do what you can to adjust them with your fingers before getting out of bed. We also recommend a satin and/or silk pillowcase (kitsch).

  • In order to maintain long, thick lashes, it’s important to avoid steam. Dryness can occur during a fill if lash artist or technician steams away any product that is already on your lash extensions. The steam can loosen your eyelash glue resulting in lost lashes. To maintain beautiful lashes, opt for a lash fill every 2 weeks. Booking a fill every 2 weeks allows more time for fresh product to soak into your natural lashes which improves lash retention.
